A young man accused of being over the drink drive limit when he was involved in a crash near Newtown will face trial next year.
Rhys Jones-Leah, aged 23, pleaded not guilty to drink driving when he appeared at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, December 12.
The Caersws man is charged with driving a BMW car on the B4568 Aberhafesp to Newtown road with more than the legal level of alcohol in his system.
Chair of the magistrates' bench Anthony Jackson fixed a trial date for February 7, which is expected to last two-and-a-half hours.
Jones-Leah, of Maesydre, Caersws, was granted unconditional bail to return to court for his trial.
