A two-car crash on a Powys border road on Thursday evening (November 30) prompted an emergency response from police and firefighters.

Police officers and the fire service were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the B4393 between Crew Green and Ford at 6.50pm.

Thankfully, the occupants inside both cars avoided injury and were out of the vehicles before firefighters from Welshpool arrived at the scene along Criggion Lane.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "One of the vehicles was leaking oil and the other was leaking brake fluid. Crews utilised environment grab packs, soaking pads and granules to make the scene safe.

"The incident was handed over to the police who were awaiting recovery of both vehicles."

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Police were called just after 6.50pm on Thursday, November 30, to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the B4393 between Crew Green and Ford.

"No injuries reported. One lane blocked and was clear by 9.50pm after recovery of the vehicles.”
