A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an alleged burglar who failed to return to court charged with intending to steal from someone's home in Welshpool.

Niles Taylor, aged 22, who previously lived near Llandrindod Wells, was due to appear in the dock at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday afternoon (November 21). He had previously failed to appear after it was found that address was no longer accurate.

Magistrates were told that Taylor was escorted out of the court building earlier in the day, and then did not appear before magistrates for the case to be heard.

Taylor is charged with an offence which he allegedly entered a flat in Salop Road, Welshpool on August 28 last year with the intention to steal from the property.

When he failed to attend the court hearing, magistrates issued a warrant for his arrest without bail.
