WITH the festive season upon us, people are being encouraged to enter the “jolliest event of the season”, taking place in Powys next month.
The Santa Fun Run is back this year and taking place in Llandrindod Wells on Sunday, December 3, from 12-3pm.
The event, which was born last year, will run as a fun assault course, with proceeds from it being split between St Michaels Hospice and organisers Landrindod Community Events.
“Get ready to dash through the snow in our jolliest event of the season,” said Landrindod Community Events in a post on their new LCE Facebook page.
“Whether you’re an experienced runner or just looking for some festive fun, this event is perfect for spreading holiday cheer.
“So, grab your Santa hat, lace up your running shoes and join us for a jolly good time. Sign on forms available from Lakeside Boathouse.
“Reminder this is a fun run. There will be a fun assault course - last year’s pics on our page will give you a good idea of what to expect.”
The entry cost will be £5 for children, £10 for adults and £20 for a family entry.

A superb amount of nearly £1,457 was raised for St Michael's Hospice from the first-ever Santa Fun Run last year.
The event attracted more than 140 entries, with over 1,000 laps of the course completed.
“The event was held in memory of Mark Percy to raise money for St Michael's Hospice, Hereford, and following the success of today, it will now be held annually here at Lakeside Boathouse,” Lakeside Boathouse said in a post on their Facebook page after the event.
