A popular pub restaurant in a village near Newtown has reopened after it was forced to close for two weeks after it was flooded following heavy rain from Storm Babet last month.
The Bechan Brook in Bettws Cedewain burst its banks and overflowed into the beer garden, car park and kitchen and restaurant at the Bull & Heifer on Friday, October 20.
The close-knit community rallied together to help muck in and clear the mess inside the pub for drinks by the Saturday evening, but it would take a further fortnight for the kitchen and restaurant to reopen.

The Bull & Heifer told customers on Friday, October 4: "We are delighted to announce that after a long awaited two weeks, our kitchen and restaurant are now open.
"Thank you to everyone who helped us get back up and running so quickly, and to all customers who have been so understanding with our kitchen and restaurant closing suddenly.
"We look forward to welcoming you all again."
The pub has told people that to avoid disappointment it highly recommends booking ahead for a table in the restaurant or bar area by telephoning 01686 651210 or booking online.
