A dog trainer has been fined after police found a bag of magic mushrooms in his car.
Williams Clarkson, aged 24, was stopped by police in the Welshpool area on April 28 after an officer could smell cannabis coming from the car.
When the car was pulled over, the officer saw Clarkson "fiddling behind the driver's seat".
A blue bag was found with 11.3 grams of magic mushrooms which were picked from a field in Cheddar Gorge, Somerset. The officer also seized 37.7 grams of cannabis from the car.
Clarkson, of Partridge Farm, Newdigate, Surrey, pleaded guilty to attempting to have in his possession the Class A and B drugs.
Robert Hanratty, mitigating, said: "Prior to this he is a young man of good character who has never been in trouble in his life.
"He describes himself as a causal or recreational user of cannabis.
"He fully co-operated with police and there were guilty pleas at the first available opportunity."
Magistrates' fined Clarkson £160 for attempting to possess the magic mushrooms and cannabis, and ordered him to pay £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
