A Welsh medium playgroup in Llangadfan have been awarded a grant to expand the group and their opening hours.
Cylch Meithrin (nursery) Dyffryn Banw have been awarded a grant under the Mudiad Meithrin 'Set up and Succeed' scheme to expand the provision of the group, allowing them to expand their hours to run both a breakfast club and an after school club.
The news comes after the organisation also celebrated coming out on top in the Mudiad Meithrin Awards Ceremony held on October 14, in the committee category.
The award ceremony celebrates the staff, volunteers and the community that support the Cylchoedd Ti a Fi, Cylchoedd Meithrin and Welsh-medium Day Nurseries from all across Wales.

In addition to the awards and grants, the nursery also marked an achievement in the form of a glowing Estyn survey that that group desirbed as one “to be proud of”.
Mirain Jones, Cylch leader, said: “As a member of Mudiad Meithrin that is passionate about providing toddlers with first-class care and education, staff and parents at Cylch Meithrin Dyffryn Banw have had many reasons to celebrate recently.
“'We're having a great year this year and the fact that we're able to expand the service we're offering to be open for longer gives parents of children an all-day care and education service in a rural area where care and education options for young children are very limited.
“Expanding our hours also means we employ four members of staff. We were delighted to have received such a fantastic inspection report from Estyn recently, and the whole team have worked brilliantly to achieve this.
“As a parent, we are aware of how important it is for you to feel that you are choosing the best education for your child, and so your child will receive the best care and education at our Cylch Meithrin.
“Welsh is the language in our Cylch Meithrin and we give a warm welcome to all children, no matter what language is spoken in the home.”
