The main road from Llanbister to Llandrindod Wells is closed after a crash.
The A483 is closed in both directions after an accident near the Llangynllo Turn Off this has led to slow moving traffic in the area.
In a statement on social media, Dyfed-Powys Police said: "The road is currently closed due to a collision. Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey."
According to the traffic information INRIX has said that the "A483 both ways closed, very slow traffic due to accident from Llangynllo Turn Off (Llanbister) to Llanddewi Turn Off (Llanddewi)."
Traffic information in the area is showing traffic is moving very slowly in the area north of Llandewi.
