I have received a leaflet from the Welsh Government concerning the forthcoming introduction of the 20 mph speed restriction.
The information provided is somewhat confusing to me. Is it the intention of the Welsh Government to change all the 30mph limit signs to 20mph?
The leaflet states “When you see streetlights, assume that the speed limit is 20mph, unless you see signs that say otherwise” unquote.

I assume therefore that while the 30mph sign are in place it is legal to do 30mph.
It is also of concern that as Wales will be the only member of the United Kingdom with a 20mph speed limit, the effect on visitors and tourists will be detrimental to tourism.
People being fined for exceeding 20mph when the signs say 30mph will not be accepted.
