A Powys man accused of raping a teenage boy has pleaded not guilty.
Thomas Evans, aged 35, is charged with carrying out a sexual act on the underage teen in March last year when he did not consent, and that the defendant did not reasonably believe that the boy was consenting.
Evans, of Oaklands, Newtown, appeared at a short hearing at Mold Crown Court on Tuesday (September 5), and entered a not guilty plea to the charge.
A trial date has been fixed for February 19, 2024, but Evans is due to appear again for a pre-trial cross examination hearing at the same court on December 1.
Evans has been ordered by the court not to contact the teenager as part of his bail conditions.
