Medical emergencies in sport can strike at any time - from common injuries to life-threatening situations such as sudden cardiac arrest - understanding basic first aid can help save lives.
Llanidloes Cricket Club hosted a pre-match first aid training session which was run by DM PROcoach’s Mathew Savage which also included defibrillator and bleed control training.
The club said it is grateful to the Welsh Ambulance Service for donating the public access defibrillator and Llanidloes-based solicitors firm Milwyn Jenkins and Jenkins for sponsoring the defibrillator cabinet.

Llanidloes become the first town in Wales to have a publicly accessible control bleed kit that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at Victoria Park.
A bleed kit is life-saving equipment that can help prevent a catastrophic bleed from incidents such as a car accident or a work-related injury.
Llanidloes Cricket Club also thanked The Daniel Baird Foundation and local businesswoman Trudy Davies for providing the town with a bleed control kit.
