SUSTAINABILITY will be the key for The New Saints Football Club after the Cymru Premier League champions unveiled three new kits for 2023/24.

The Saints, who kick off their return to the UEFA Champions League next month, unveiled the kits on Thursday, marking a new partnership with globally-renowned suppliers Macron.

The firm provides kits for clubs across Europe, plus for referees for all UEFA tournaments and has provided three for TNS that are all recycled.

It comes as the club re-affirmed its partnership with Cheshire-based Recycling UK (RUK), back as its main shirt sponsor, which has left owner Mike Harris delighted.

He said: “As a club we are committed to improving our sustainability ethos and so it made perfect sense to partner with Macron to supply our kit for the upcoming campaign.

“I’d like to thank Macron for producing such a fantastic set of kit for us to wear as we look to make history once again this season.

“We are also extremely proud to be partnering with RUK as our front of shirt sponsor next season.

“Neil Clarke and Simon Marsden from RUK Group have supported us on and off the pitch for the past seven years and to partner with a like-minded business at the heart of Oswestry, who boast many shared values with us.

“Not least our commitment to creating a positive impact in the community, really highlights the synergies between the two brands.”

OTHER NEWS:

With sustainability a key priority for TNS and each shirt for the 2023/24 campaign have been produced using the equivalent of 13 half-litre plastic water bottles.

This will ensure that the club will boast one of the most eco-friendly kits in football.

Macron will supply kits to all aspects of the club’s playing and training kit, with Macron’s Mike Davies adding: “We are really pleased to be partnering with The New Saints Football Club.

“I have many fond memories with TNS and I'm delighted to be back working with some old friends.

“The club continues to set the bar in the Welsh Premier League and we look forward to our new journey together.”

RUK will be the front-of-shirt sponsor for the next two seasons, returning after last adorning the shirt in 2019/20 and is a longstanding partner of the club since 2016.

RUK will also supply pitch-side bins to improve wastage and recycling at Park Hall.

Neil Clarke, RUK managing director, added: “It is an honour to be allowed the privilege of continuing the relationship which has been in place since May 2016.

“We look forward to continuing the relationship that we have built up with Mike Harris and everyone involved at TNS FC.”

TNS will discover their first qualifying round opponents on Tuesday, June 20.
