A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man accused of stealing a packet of tobacco and cans of beer from a Newtown convenience store.
Andrew Dodd failed to attend Tuesday's (June 6) hearing at Welshpool Magistrates' Court.
The 43-year-old of The Bell Hotel, Commercial Street, Newtown is alleged to have stolen a four-pack of Stella Artois, a packet of Golden Virginia tobacco and a carrier bag worth £25.40 from Costcutter on Lower Canal Road on October 13.
Chair of the magistrates' bench Cynthia McVey issued a warrant without bail for the defendant's arrest for his non-appearance.
