A number of pupils from Ysgol Llanfyllin received prizes from the Montgomeryshire Arts Society for various projects and pieces.
Nia Evans, from Year 10, was awarded first prize in the Montgomeryshire Society Competition for her Welsh story on the title 'Dan Olau'r Lleuad' (Under the Moonlight).
Ruby Prust, Year 11, took home first prize for the Our Choice category, winning for her expressionistic portrait.
Another first prize winner came in the form of a textile art piece, sewn by Isobel Owen from Year 7, which received a prize in the ‘Friends’ category.

Lizi Pritchard, Director of Learning and Expressive Arts at Ysgol Llanfyllin, said: “Congratulations to our three winners and all those who entered.
“Nia’s story was a murderous thriller keeping the reader on the edge of their seats with a great twist at the end.
“Isobel’s striking portrait was a wonderful exploration of colour, while Ruby’s sewed piece depicted herself and her friends at her neon lights birthday party.”
