Amongst the multitudes of Councillors and Council employees, is Cllr Pete Lewington the only Councillor with any sense?
Particularly concerning the car parking charges in Newtown.
We read in the newspapers about the Gary Lineker style salaries of some council employees.
Salaries and benefits that many people in the private sector can only dream about.

Yet for all these inflated salaries the performance of the council is abysmal.
To try and squeeze an extra few pounds by increasing Newtown car parking charges with the resulting destruction of Newtown as a shopping centre is beyond belief.
Who are these people answerable to? The annual excessive increase in Council Tax seems to just disappear into the maw of the council coffers without any benefit to the community.
