A top-rated Llanidloes care home has been chosen by residents and their families as one of the best in Wales.
Maes-y-Wennol is set to receive an award from the UK’s leading reviews guide to care homes for being in the top 20 out of 1,012 care homes in Wales based on its value for money as well as the standard of its facilities and the quality of their care, activities and nutrition.
Operated by Shaw Healthcare on behalf of Powys County Council, Maes-y-Wennol provides residential care for up to 29 people including those living with dementia.
Sandra Holt, care home manager, said: “This recognition is testament to the amazing team I have here who strive to deliver first-class care to our residents.
“Reading all of the wonderful reviews that have been submitted about our home makes our jobs worthwhile – knowing we are making such a difference and enhancing people’s lives.”
