A quilt made by children and staff at a special school will be one of the many textile artworks made by local people that will go on display at an exhibition in Llanidloes.

To mark the retirement of a former headteacher, Ysgol Cedewain in Newtown made a quilt which is now in The Quilt Association’s collection of collaborative quilts made by local groups.

Visitors to the exhibition in the Minerva Arts Centre in Llanidloes will also have a chance to see a colourful quilt inspired by the wildflowers found on rhos pasture made with help from artist Jane Titley and organised by the Radnorshire Wildlife Trust in 2022, as well as three quilts made by Whitton WI members from the Knighton and Presteigne areas.
