Dyfed Powys police are appealing for witnesses after an assault outside a pub left a man with a broken jaw.
Police said the assult took place before Christmas and the injuries to the victim were so severe that it required him to have surgery.
Accordin to information released by Dyfed-Powys Police, the assault took place somewhere between The Mill Inn Public House and the Taxi rank by Wetherspoons on Alexandria Road in Aberystwyth.
The incident is reported to have happened sometime between 9pm and midnight on the evening of Monday, December 19.

The victim is described as a white male in his 40's, wearing dark blue jeans, black coat, grey trainers, and a blue T-shirt.
