BUILTH Wells eased to a comfortable 29-3 win at Pencoed to maintain their bright start to the Admiral Division Two West Central season on Saturday.
The Bulls broke the home side’s resolute defending with Ashley Parry crossing following a driving maul and soon increased their lead with replacement centre Lex Botha going over.
Luke Morgan crossed for a third try before Ryan Jones released Botha in the corner to complete the try count.
Coach Ben Duggan said: “It was a great team performance and we’re starting to transfer the work off the training pitch into the game.
“The boys defended well when under the cosh and scored two good tries to get the bonus point.”

COBRA ended second best in a 29-14 defeat at unbeaten Caernarfon in division one north.
The Meifod side forged a slender lead at the break with a penalty try cancelling an early try from the hosts.
The home side dominated the second-half to put the result beyond doubt before COBRA mustered a late reply with fly-half Llew Williams converting his own try.

Newtown’s miserable second division campaign continued with a 52-0 hammering at Wrexham while Welshpool celebrated a 22-0 win at home to Abergele.
A try from Max Cadwallader separated the sides at the break before three second-half tries from Ryan Goodwin, Harry Trow and Joe Stranks completed the try count while debutant Iwan Morris added one conversion.

In-form Llanidloes proved a class apart in a 89-3 thrashing of Wrexham IIs in division three north east to maintain their early season promotion bid.
Rob Evans led the rout with four tries while Alex Clarke crossed three times with Mason Jones and Matt Upson each crossing the whitewash twice.
Further tries from Andrew Williams, Lee Rosney, Mike Silvester and Dillon Leary completed the try count while Jones added seven conversions.

COBRA IIs battled to a 27-17 win at Bro Gwernant.
Cian Roberts played a key role with two tries, two conversions and a brace of penalties while Rhodri Davies and Lee Hughes also crossed for tries as the Meifod side toasted glory.
However Machynlleth were once again left kicking their heels after their fixture at Dinbych IIs was postponed.
Llandrindod Wells lost 22-5 defeat at Hirwaun in division five east central.
