WALES is currently enjoying a golden era in its footballing history.
The men's side booked their place for the World Cup earlier in the year and a record 12,000 attendance cheered the women's side to a place in the World Cup play-offs on Tuesday night.
Dafydd Iwan, the famous singer who rose to fame writing and performing folk music in the Welsh language, has become part of the Welsh set up with his now legendary renditions of "Yma O Hyd" ("Still Here") stirring the hearts of fans and players alike.

Before Tuesday's draw with Slovenia in Cardiff, the singer visited the players and lined up with mid Wales duo Ceri Holland and Carrie Jones.
Liverpool forward Holland qualifies for Wales through her Llanrhaeadr born mother and Manchester United's Jones earned plaudits after her player of the match display which further underlined the Newtown teenager's credentials as one of the emerging stars of the women's international game.
