Newtown Science Festival will showcasing exciting research from 3D printers, Mars rovers to farming technology later this year.
The event aims to bring together a wide selection of science organisations to teach children and adults about the exciting science happening right now
People are invited to come along for free from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, September 17, at Newtown High School.

Astrophysics PhD student Jamie Dumayne, who grew up in the Newtown and Llanidloes areas, has helped organise the festival.
He said: “This event is aimed at ages seven to 16, but all ages are welcome. You don’t need to be an expert in science to enjoy our different exhibits. Our experts will show you their area of science in an easy to understand way, regardless of your science background.”
