Rattus hopes the rail strikes are yet more evidence of the descent of the UK into chaos.
However, having spent the best part of two years working from home because of Covid many rail commuters will just go back to doing it again.
Other travellers will drive despite the cost of petrol.
With inflation predicted to reach 11 per cent it is not surprising workers want pay rises. Surely there is a compromise somewhere.
With more jobs on offer than people looking for them finding agency workers to man the railways is not going to work.
Rattus is more than sceptical of new recruits operating the railway signalling.
It seems if the government wants to create chaos to distract from its many problems. Though Rattus welcomes this he is not responsible.
