FOR the first time in three years, Deganwy Prom Day is due to take place this weekend.

Having been cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Prom Day returns tomorrow (Saturday, June 25) at Deganwy Beach.

The event runs from 11am–4pm, and admission is free to all.

Here are some of the things you can expect from this year’s Deganwy Prom Day:

• From 11am - A full schedule of activities to include music from the Beulah Band, Choirs for Good and a ukulele group, and dancing displays with Conwy Kaleidoscope.

• 1pm - A fun dog show with 12 categories (including "musical sit") and judging by Fiona from Murphy & Co Vets.

• 2.30pm - Entertainment from Harley the Clown.

• 3pm – Children’s sports races.

• 3.30pm- Raffle draw.

• Inflatables, archery, paintball shooting, face-painting activities, refreshments, stalls raising money for charities in the area, and arts and crafts stalls will be ongoing throughout the event.

Biggest and best ever Deganwy Prom Day

A spokesperson for the Deganwy Prom Day Committee added: “We are really pleased to be hosting Prom Day this year after we had to cancel for the past two years.

“The local history group, Conwy Library, and Sea Cadets will also be there.

“We are looking forward to a busy day, and hopefully, the sun will be shining.”
