A BODY has been found in the search for a Powys woman who was reported missing last week.
Dyfed Powys Police had issued an appeal for help from the public in locating the missing woman, known only as Ruth, last Thursday, June 16.
Ruth was reported missing from Brecon. Police say she was last seen in the town at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, June 15.
Police said a body was found in the River Usk on Friday, June 17, and that they were no longer looking for Ruth.
“Dyfed Powys Police can confirm that a body was found in the River Usk on Friday, June 17,” said the force in a statement.
“The family of a woman, who had been reported missing in the area, are aware and are being supported by officers.”
