A MAN has died after getting into an accident involving an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) at a residential park just outside Builth Wells.

The male died on Monday afternoon, June 21, at Caerwnon Park, a residential park for people aged 50+, located just off the A470 between Builth and Newbridge-on-Wye.

Dyfed Powys Police, the Wales Air Ambulance and the Welsh Ambulance Service all attended the scene, with the incident happening just before 3pm.

A police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at about 4pm on Monday, June 20, at Caerwnon Park, Builth Wells.

“Sadly, the driver of an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) passed away at the scene. Next of kin have been informed and enquiries continue.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday afternoon, Monday June 20, at approximately 14.54pm to reports of an incident Caerwnon Park near Builth Wells.

“We sent two rapid response vehicles, two community first responders, one fire co-responder, one air ambulance and one emergency ambulance to the scene. We were also assisted by St John Ambulance.”

A Wales Air Ambulance statement read: “I can confirm that Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident near Builth Wells yesterday. Unfortunately, we are unable to give any further details.”
