A man has been fined just £40 after he was caught in a Land Rover carrying a 'large amount' of stolen goods.
Nigel Clark, of Lower Cross, Kington, entered a guilty plea to one count of theft when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard a stolen Land Rover had been stopped in Gloucestershire containing a large amount of goods including alcohol from Co-op.
Enquiries found the goods had been stolen from the Co-op in Hay-on-Wye, and 44-year-old Clarke, along with another man, were seen on CCTV entering the shop and leaving 14 minutes later with a large amount of goods having made no attempt to pay.
Clark was fined £40 and must pay costs of £75 and a £34 victim surcharge.
