Gari Lewis has returned to the helm of JD Cymru North rivals Penrhyncoch.

Lewis returns to the villagers having served as assistant manager at JD Cymru Premier side Aberystwyth Town for the past two years.

However the Roosters have always remained close to Lewis' heart having first managed the Cae Baker club in 2011 and led them to the Mid Wales League title and promotion to JD Cymru North,

Lewis will be assisted by Aneurin Thomas who spent the last two years as manager before he and Sion James stepped down at the end of the season with their dream team management back in the dugout.

Lewis' appointment allays fears of the Roosters resigning from the league and can now look ahead to the new season.

Lewis said: "I know the club were struggling to find a manager and were considering pulling out of the league.

"I couldn’t let that happen, I love the club. Me and Aneurin will work hard to keep the club going.”

Chairman Kevin Jenkins said: “As chair, I’m absolutely delighted at the announcement and as a club it’s a dream for us. I keep on pinching myself to make sure I’m hearing correctly.”
