THE first ever Powys Pride Festival is taking place on Saturday, July 16, in Llandrindod Wells.
The event will be packed with entertainment, from comedy to music, drag queens, sketch performances with audience participation and cake, book and poetry readings, a history talk, bouncy castle, face painting, stalls, dance workshops, a meditation workshop, support groups, exhibitions, dance performances, street food and more. And the best part is, it’s all completely free.
There will also be a massive evening party with drag queens, a really convincing Britney Spears, a DJ and a Pride Parade (and craft workshop to make banners and such for it a week before).
Every penny makes Powys Pride better, brighter and bolder – and organisers are encouraging you to make a contribution to the event. You can donate and support Powys Pride by visiting https://localgiving.org/appeal/Powys-Pride/
