There are over 50 MPs who are being investigated after complaints of sexual misconduct.

Rattus is wondering whether MPs are being fed hormone treated meat or there is something in their diet or environment that induces high levels of testosterone.

There seems to be scandal after scandal.

The poor British public is rightly fed up and holds members of Parliament in lower esteem than usual. We should expect much higher standards of behaviour in our elected representatives.

Rattus has answer.

Not only all female shortlists but have an all female House of Commons.

Some women in politics have been guilty of bullying or been responsible for oppressive legislation and the current home Secretary’s crazy idea of sending asylum seekers to Rwanda has been criticised by the Archbishop of Canterbury as unchristian.

On the whole women MP’s behave better than male MP’s.

I suspect that there is also more empathy and less of a misplaced sense of entitlement.

The worst aspect of the current male dominated misogynistic House of Commons is that few women go into politics.

To be honest no one in their right mind would want it as a career.

It would be so much nicer and better paid to be a captain of industry, a professor or a fund manager.

The old saying ‘if you want a friend in Westminster get a dog’ is still true.

It is combative, ultra competitive and often duplicitous. Dishonesty and briefing against one’s opponents and rivals is rife.

Decent people struggle with that.
