A BUILTH charity is helping school leavers save a packet on a suit or dress for prom by setting up a prom shop.
The idea has been derived by Helping Our Homeless Wales, who have a base just outside Builth on the corner by Jewsons, at the Old Scout Hut.
Organiser Sarah Mason said: “We are setting up a prom shop where children and parents can come and try on dresses suits etc and have these for free.
“How can you help? Do you have a dress, a pair of nice shoes or a suit that is just hanging around in your wardrobe that you may be willing to donate?
“If so we need your help to make the dreams of these kids come true. At Builth Wells Helping Our Homeless Wales’ community hub this is what community is, so let’s make their prom the best without getting into debt or worse, feeling they can’t go.”
