Berriew Football Club hosted the CWFA Girls Interleague tournament on Sunday – the first such tournament to be held since 2019.
Alongside an U12 inter league festival, competitive tournaments were held at U14 and U16 age groups, with Aberystwyth winning the U14’s and Powys Girls winning the U16’s tournaments.
CWFA Tournament organiser Paul Inns said: "It was a fantastic days football and a great advertisement for the girls game in central Wales.
"The standard of football was very high, and with a mini festival held as a tournament opener for U6, U8 and U10 girls, with a women's football festival held to close the event, we managed to cater for most age groups of players during the course of the day.
"To have two of our local young referee’s officiating – Leighton Blagg and Rhys Jones – alongside veteran referee Martin Roberts – was especially pleasing also."
