A NUMBER of flood alerts have been issued across Powys following Storm Eunice.
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) have listed several areas throughout Powys as potential flood zones in the wake of increased rainfall brought by Storm Eunice.
All alerts were released on February 19.
An area placed under alert is the Dyfi Catchment.
NRW warns that areas around the River Dyfi are at risk, from Dinas Mawddwy and Llanbrynmair to the estuary, including Machynlleth.
In addition to the areas around the river, some localised flooding problems may occur as a result of surface water.
Another flood alert has been issued for the River Severn and its tributaries.
NRW has listed areas such as Llandrinio and Buttington as being at risk from potentially rising river levels.
It also lists a number or roads that could be affected by flooding; Manthrig Lane from Manthrig brook, Caersws, the A490 at Cilcewydd and the Trehelig Crossroads, the A483 at The Moors Straight, Welshpool and the B4393 near Llandrinio Bridge.
Another area put under a flood alert is the Vyrnwy Catchment, with the River Vyrnwy, River Tanat, River Cain and its tributaries recording high water levels.
NRW lists a number of roads that could potentially be affected; the Minor road at Meifod Bridge, the B4393 near Llansantffraid Bridge and the B4398 near the canal at New Bridge, Llanymynech.
