DAY trippers and beach dippers can be assured of the water quality off the Cardigan coast.
Natural Resources Wales has assessed the water quality at beaches across the country as part of their regular checks.
Much of the water tested at beach sites was rated excellent, including Aberystwyth South, Borth, Aberdyfi Rural, Tywyn, Fairbourne, Barmouth, Talybont, Llanendwyn, Llandanwg and Harlech.
Meanwhile other coastal areas, including Aberystwyth North, Clarech South and Aberdyfi were ranked as good.
The only bathing water in Wales not to receive an excellent or good rating was found at Jackson's Bay on Barry Island, Aberafan, Llandudno North Shore, Abergele, Marine Lake in Rhyl and Rhyl were received a sufficient ranking.
