THE OFFICIAL harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales, will be performing in Cardiff at St David’s Hall.
Alis Huws, from Foel, near Llanfair Caereinon, is scheduled to perform at the Cardiff venue on February 15 in a lunchtime concert.
Originally scheduled in June 2020, the performance has been postponed numerous times due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but is now set to take place after several delays.
Alis was appointed the Official harpist of the Prince of Wales in July 2019, having performed for the Royal Family on several occasions beforehand, including at Buckingham Palace to make 50 years since the investiture of The Prince of Wales.
Having received harp lessons at Ysgol Uwchradd Caereinion she continued her studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.
Alis performs regularly at high profile events for the Welsh Assembly Government, such as the opening of their new offices at the British Embassy in Berlin, their St David’s Day celebrations at Lancaster House, and the official royal opening of the Senedd in 2016.
Tickets are £6 in advance and £7 on the day, and can be purchased through St David’s Hall website
