Builth Wells climbed to the top of the MMP-NL Mid Wales League East with a 5-0 win at home to Montgomery Town.

Goals from Ollie Woods and Rudi Griffiths separated the sides at the break with Woods adding a second after the break to settle the outcome.

Further goals from Ciaran Price and Griffiths ensured the Bulls went top of the table.

Abermule booked their place in the fourth round of the Central Wales with a 3-1 win at home to Waterloo Rovers.

Goals from Tom Jones and Adam Putson gave the villagers the lead before Tom Ellis reduced the arrears for the Welshpool side only for Jones to seal Mule's progress with his second.

Tregaron Turfs also sealed their progress with an emphatic 7-1 win at Newtown Wanderers who led through Robbie Hartshorn's strike only before the visitors stormed back.

Ryan Davies starred with a hat-trick while Daniel Owen, Jac Hockenhull, Rhun Garner and Arwel Jones completed the comeback.

Meanwhile Trefonen ran riot in an 11-0 derby drubbing of Llanymynech in the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League.

Jordan Dean led the rout with a five goal haul with William France and Martin Cheesman adding doubles and goals from Ben Pullen and Luke Barry completed the rout.

Trewern United were also 4-1 winners at Llangedwyn courtesy of goals from Matt Windsor, Chris Lewis, Jay Bishop and Rhys Pain to cancel a William Morris-Roberts goal for the hosts.

Elsewhere Blake Evans scored all four goals as Builth Wells Reserves stormed to a 4-2 win at Brecon in the Watson Financial Mid Wales League South.

The Stags replied with two goals from Alex Morgan but the Bulls went home with the points.

Newcastle claimed the spoils in a 3-1 win at Presteigne St Andrews with goals from Edgar Whateley, Sam Beavan and Curt Pickford sealing the points.

Jon Reynolds netted twice in Felindre's 5-0 win over Llanandras with Lyndon Bevan, Ieaun Thomas and Ieuan Breeze also on target.

Elsewhere a solitary strike from Ron McNamara earned Talgarth Town a 1-0 win at Knighton Town.
