LLANRHAEADR celebrated only their second win of the season with a 2-1 triumph at fellow JD Cymru North strugglers Llangefni Town.

Chris Aitken's strike after half an hour separated the sides at the break as the mid Wales side established a slender lead in a match dominated by the referee's whistle.

Chris Saxon saw red with 20 minutes remaining but just five minutes later the home side levelled through Stanley Williams.

However the hosts pressed the self destruct button when Andy Sinclair saw red with two minutes remaining and Llanrhaeadr capitalised as Aitken restored their lead with a last gasp winner.

A solitary Josh Shaw strike with 15 minutes remaining ensured Penrhyncoch the spoils in 1-0 win at home to Buckley Town.

Meanwhile Llanidloes Town endured a day to forget in a 6-1 thrashing at home to Colwyn Bay as Steve Evans began his tenure with a resounding win in mid Wales.

It was all over inside the opening 12 minutes as Sam Jones, James Kirby and Tom McCready struck before Danny Edwards added a fourth on 22 minutes.

A second from Kirby on the stroke of half-time ensured the points for the Seagulls.

Llanidloes were much improved after the break and clawed back an 82nd minute consolation through Connor Bird's penalty but Bay had the final say as Macsen Rhys-Williams struck.

Meanwhile Guilsfield hosted Gresford Athletic on Friday night with the villagers held to a goalless draw to maintain their unbeaten league record.
