A mid Wales trout fishery has been voted the best in the UK.
Llyn Clywedog Trout Fishery, near Llanidloes, was chosen by anglers from across the country as their favourite spot for fishing.
Russ Owen, Fishery Manager, said: "Each year the angling press runs a poll to see which fishery is the top trout fishery in UK. We were voted second last year which we were extremely proud of but this year we were voted the best ahead of the the mighty Rutland Water in Leicestershire.
"We put this down to the hard work of all the staff and the fact it’s a fishery run by fisherman for fisherman!"
The fishery said the 2020 season was a record year with more anglers fishing the lake than ever before, "just confirming Clywedog as one of the premier trout fisheries in the UK and Wales top fishery".
Llyn Clywedog Trout Fishery reopens on March 10, with the first 14,000 fish going in March and April.
