Contactless payments to access the public toilets in Llanidloes will be discussed by councillors next week.

Residents have taken to social media to raise concerns about the payment method to use the toilet facility at the Town Hall.

Llanidloes Town Council will discuss the issue after an unhappy resident sent a letter about the contactless access to the toilets.

People have described the payment method as "ridiculous". One public toilet user said: "When you are bursting for a wee, the last thing you want to do is mess around with a card, makes me so mad."

Councillors will gather on Monday evening (January 24) to discuss other matters concerning Llanidloes.

These include the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Victoria Park trees, Christmas lights, Dragon Trail leaflets and planning applications.

Joe Lowe, from PC-Q will also give a presentation on broadband and share his views on the Council endorsing Broadway Broadband.

Information from Zero Carbon Llanidloes will also be presented to the Town Council

Meetings continue to be held online through Zoom due to the current coronavirus restrictions, the council said.

The next Full Council meeting takes place at 7pm.
