Police in Powys are appealing for information after a dog attack left a number of in-lamb ewes dead.

Nine in-lamb ewes were attacked in the Llangunllo area, near Knighton, resulting in seven being killed.

Dyfed-Powys Police's Rural Crime Team said it investigating the livestock worrying incident that happened between Friday, January 14, and Sunday, January 16.

PCSO Gary Gwilt said: "If you have any information that can help us to identify a person, or persons of interest please contact us.

"Please ensure all dogs are kept on leads or under close control near livestock.

"It is advisable to keep off footpaths that run through fields when livestock is present."
