LLANDRINDOD Wells have strengthened ahead of the resumption of the season with three new additions.

The Spamen are currently enjoying their first ever season in the Ardal South East League and sit in 10th spot after 18 games having suffered a dip in form before the season went into lockdown just before Christmas due to Welsh Government social distancing restrictions.

The Powys club endured a forgettable return last weekend - crashing to an 8-0 defeat at Goytre.

However the Spamen have added depth to their ranks ahead of the weekend trip to Trethomas Bluebirds as they bid to celebrate their first points of 2022.

Midfielder Fin Francis heads the cast of new arrivals and returns to his hometown club from Knighton Town whose decision to quit the MMP-NL Mid Wales League East last month has seen a raft of their former players join rival clubs.

Fellow midfielder Bob Kear also signs for the Spamen having previously represented Brecon and captained Worcester University in the BUCS League.

Forward Danny Hall joins the cast of new arrivals at Broadway.

A club spokesman said: “Fin returns to his hometown club. He is a young, technically gifted midfielder with the desire to step up to Ardal Southern football and the challenges ahead.

“Bob is an all action midfielder who we look forward to seeing grace the Broadway.

“We are also excited to be able to confirm the signing of youngster Danny Hall

“He is a talented striker with all the attributes to become a top player and who we are looking forward to helping in his transition to senior football.”
