THE Welsh football transfer window is open but a majority of clubs have been quiet so far.

Newtown have completed the transfer coup of the year so far with the signing of 23 year old defender Ryan Sears from Grimsby Town of the English National League.

The ex-Shrewsbury Town star joins his hometown club where he earned the Player of the Season award while on-loan in 2018.

Elsewhere TNS have strengthened their own midfield with the JD Cymru Premier champions-elect signing former England youth international Alex Denny from English League To side Salford City.

The Saints have also agreed to extend the loan deals of Louis Bradford to Aberystwyth Town an Beau Cornish to JD Cymru North leaders Airbus UK Broughton.

Meanwhile the mid Wales quartet in the JD Cymru North have had quiet windows.

Llanidloes Town have bid farewell to midfielder Craig Harris who has returned to former club, Caersws who have applied for promotion from the Ardal North East League.

Rhayader Town have been the busiest with the Ardal South East club snapping up four players.

Goalkeeper Kham Steventon has joined from JD Cymru South side Taffs Well while Taylor Wozencraft, Tom Francis and Tom Bright have each signed from Knighton Town.

Meanwhile defender Jordan Cooper has departed to sign for South Wales Alliance side Cardiff Corinthians.

Llandrindod Wells have also bolstered with the signing of midfielder Bob Kear with the ex-Brecon player joining from Worcester University.

Meanwhile Montgomery Town have bolstered in the MMP-NL Mid Wales League East with cousins Sam and Tom Evans making the switch from derby rivals Forden United.
