A JOE Haycock hat-trick inspired Berriew to a 4-2 win at Four Crosses in the Ardal North East League.

Ed Baker broke the deadlock after 15 minutes before Haycock netted twice as the Rhiewiders established a healthy interval lead.

Rhys Owen reduced the arrears with 20 minutes remaining only for Haycock to complete his hat-trick and restore Berriew's three goal cushion.

Owen netted his second of the match with two minutes remaining before George Lloyd saw red for Crosses.

Carno eased to a 4-0 win at Kerry thanks to a Josh Mathews hat-trick with both sides ending with 10 men.

Charlie Mainwaring saw red after 30 minutes for the hosts before Carno were also reduced to 10 men with Jack Orbell dismissed with Sean Wild's 36th minute strike separating the sides at the break.

Carno pulled away after the break with Josh Mathews doubling their lead on the hour before completing his brace with 15 minutes remaining and celebrated his hat-trick late on.

Meanwhile Welshpool Town proved no match for Cefn Albion who eased to a 4-0 win at Maesydre.

Goals from James Jones and Alex Williams gave Albion an interval lead with Williams completing his double after the break before Mike Latham settled the outcome.

Elsewhere Llandrindod Wells fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Tredegar Town in the Ardal South East League in a match which saw both sides end with 10 men.

Jack Evans' 26th minute strike separated the sides at the break but the Spamen were punished after the break as Morgan Evans levelled after 54 minutes before Chris Hartland fired the visitors into the lead with 15 minutes remaining.

Kieran McCarley saw red for the host with two minutes remaining with Tredegar also ending with 10 men after Ross Jolliffe earned a second caution in injury time.

Meanwhile Rhayader Town suffered a 2-0 defeat at Newport City with Norton Ferreira breaking the deadlock after 39 minutes before Dean Powell doubled the advantage with 20 minutes remaining to ensure no way back for the Red Kites.
