A drink driver who was armed with a screwdriver attacked another man during a string of crimes around Welshpool.
Simon Chater, 38 and of St Georges Road in Dyserth in north Wales, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Friday, November 26 charged with six offences, pleading guilty to all. He will be sentenced for his offences next week.
He was accused of taking an Audi car without permission on October 28 this year in Welshpool, filling it fuel and making off without payment before he drove it dangerously around the Powys town.
He was also accused of having possession of a dangerous weapon, namely a screwdriver, and attacking another man with intent to cause him GBH – both of which he also admitted.
Chater also pleaded guilty to being over the drink-driving limit during the brief hearing at the crown court.
He will be sentenced, also at Mold Crown Court, on Thursday, December 2.
