A KIND-HEARTED little girl from Tregynog has taken a brave step in memory of her nanny.
Lucia Toozers's nanny, Joyce Bumford, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February, this year, and sadly died on September 11.
Her mother, Leanne, explained that Joyce was a big part of Lucia's life and after attending her funeral, the seven-year-old, who attends Rhiw Bechan School, decided she wanted to do something to raise money in her memory.
So she had 11 inches of her hair cut and sent to the Little Princess Trust to make a wig for a child who has had treatment to cancer and has lost their hair, and also raised £1,465 for Pancreatic Cancer UK in the process.
Rachel Wardell cut Lucia's hair at her home on November 18 which is also World Pancreatic Cancer Day.
