A POWYS couple who share a passion for the paranormal will be making a special appearance at a county cinema this weekend to celebrate the latest release in the Ghostbusters franchise.

Katy Craddock and Matt Davies, of K&M Paranormal, have a real treat in store for spook-loving cinemagoers attending the premiere of Ghostbusters: Afterlife at Builth Wells’ Wyeside Arts Centre – a chance to grab a photo with the iconic Ecto 1.

The instantly recognisable car was made famous by the 1980s film franchise phenomenon that spawned Ghostbusters I and II, starring Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd.

Katy and Matt set up K&M Paranormal last year, describing themselves as ‘a small team of investigators that have a passion for the paranormal and strive to gather evidence that proves the existence of life after death’.

Like most kids, Matt had an obsession with Ghostbusters; he owns a flight suit made famous by the foursome of Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore, and he even has a proton pack.

The couple completed the look with the famous Ecto 1, which they created by revamping an old Rover 75 hearse to look like the famous ghoul-getting vehicle.

“Myself and Matt will be there in Builth with our Ghostbusters car for their opening weekend of the new Ghostbusters film,” said Katy.

“The Ecto 1 from K&M Paranormal will be on our forecourt opening weekend and will be available for photos with Wyeside ticket holders (print-outs or on your smart phone),” said Wyeside in a statement.

“Just come down, show them your Wyeside ticket for Ghostbusters: Afterlife and they will pose for a photo with you.”

The Ecto 1 will be at Wyeside on Saturday, November 20, from 1.30-2.30pm and on Sunday, November 21, from 6-7pm.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is showing at Wyeside from November 18-December 2.

The film is directed by Jason Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two films in 1984 and 1989.

Set 30 years after the events of the second film, it is the fourth film overall in the Ghostbusters franchise. It follows a single mother and her two children who move to a small town in Oklahoma, where they discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and their grandfather's secret legacy.

Murray, Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts reprise their roles from the original films.
