A new plaque has been unveiled at Dolwen Field in Llanwrtyd Wells.
The Dolwen Field Recreation For All Committee, Llanwrtyd Mayor Jim Davies, County Councillor Tim Van-Rees and a group of visiting cyclists gathered for the presentation on Saturday, October 16.
The metal arch that sits at the park entrance to Coronation Drive was designed and built by Paul Carroll of Rhayader-based Welding Mid Wales who was also present at the plaque unveiling.
The cyclists who have made generous donations to the Dolwen Project and have been visiting Llanwrtyd during October for nearly 30 years, staying at the Drovers Inn every year. After the presentation the group cycled to lay flowers on a memorial for their friend Steve Ashmore who sadly died on a ride at Cynghordy.
