Ollie Woods starred with a hat-trick as Builth Wells eased to a 7-0 win over Cardigan Town in the third round of the Emrys Morgan Cup.

Greg Preece, Aeron Powell, Rudi Griffiths and Christian Jones goals completed the romp.

Meanwhile Phil Hughes was the hero as Meifod prevailed 3-2 winners at Trefonen.

Goals from Liam Jones and Jordan Dean gave Trefonen the lead only for the Kings to hit back through Rob Evans and Hughes with the latter's extra-time penalty completing the comeback.

Meanwhile a Ryan Broadbent double and Jake Harris strike secured a 3-0 win for Llansantffraid at home to Churchstoke.

Tywyn Bryncrug came out on top in a 3-2 win at home to Abermule with both sides ending with 10 men.

Tom Allen gave the hosts the lead before Charlie Humphreys levelled but Nick Williams restored the Cormorants' advantage before seeing red after the break and was soon joined by Abermule's Rhys Stephens.

Tom Williams levelled for Mule at the death but substitute Ben Williams netted an extra-time winner for the hosts.

Meanwhile Llanidloes Town Reserves hit back to seal a 2-1 win at Penrhyncoch Reserves who led through Carwyn Davies before Isaac Griffiths levelled and Gregg Brown bagged a late winner.

Forden United celebrated a 3-2 extra-time win at home to local rivals Waterloo Rovers.

Jake O'Donnell gave the villagers the lead before Rovers hit back through Luke Evans and led through Tom Ellis.

However Ben Marston saw red for Rovers and Forden capitalised with O'Donnell's late leveller forcing extra-time when he completed his hat-trick and his side's progress.

Two goals each from Pete Almond and Lucien Evans earned Newcastle Emlyn a 4-0 win at Crymych while Chris Gale scored the only goal of the game in Lampeter Town's 1-0 win at Felinfach.

Brecon Corries ran riot in a 14-1 win at Maesglas with Joel Evans and Luis Price each netting four goals while Tristan Dillon netted twice.

Further goals from Jordan Baker, Dale Evans, Craig Evans and James Jeffreys completed the rout with Tom Gardiner netting a consolation.

Elsewhere Hay St Marys edged a 3-2 win at St Dogmaels with goals from Matty Tong, Will Goodwin and Phil Davies cancelling replies from Jason Williams and Josh Mellor.

Talgarth Town booked their progress with Alex Simmons netting twice and goals from Ben Sharman and Harry Sharman earning a 4-1 win at home to New Quay who replied through Glenn Baldwin.

Dyffryn Banw needed penalties to overcome Bishop's Castle.

Castle twice led through Omer Bozdag and Mark Griffiths only for Banw to reply through Jack Jones and Alwyn Jones to force extra-time with the Llangadfan side prevailing 4-3 winners from the spot.

Meanwhile Knighton Town booked their place in the second round of the MMP-NL Mid Wales League Cup with a 6-1 win at Montgomery Town.
