Steve Jones and Sam Roff are Welsh bowling champions.
The Welsh Bowling Association National Finals were held at Llandrindod Wells Bowling Club over 10 days last month with players descending on te town from all over Wales to compete for a national title.
Steve Jones and Roff won the Welsh outdoor pairs title, after winning through as the Mid Wales entry, and beating John Morgan and Paul Browning of Gilfach Goch 20-15 in the last 16, Jamie James and Ian Pugh of Aberystwyth 20-11 in the last eight, 2018 champions Paul Diment and Ryan Thomas of Tenby 22-19 in the semi-final and Ross Owen and Jarrad Breen of Harlequins 18-13 in the final.
The pair will now go on to represent Wales in the British Isles Championships in 2022.
The duo’s title caps a successful season for Llandrindod Wells after winning both the Ladies Brecon & Radnor and Men’s Mid Wales League titles.
