A Machynlleth man has been fined £566 after failing to stop for police officers in Aberystwyth.
Michael Jones, of Tregarth, Machynlleth, pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to stop his vehicle on being required to do so by a constable in uniform, following an incident on March 13.
On Monday, October 11 Llanelli Magistrates' Court heard that at around 4am on the day in question 32-year-old Jones had failed to stop his Ford Focus during the incident on Great Darkgate Street, Aberystwyth.
He was fined £566 and ordered to pay costs of £90.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £56.
