A NEWTOWN woman has been fined nearly £350 for driving at 38 miles per hour in the Powys town.
Caroline Anne Harrison was driving at that speed in a 30mph zone on the Mochdre Industrial Estate, in Newtown, at 12.31pm on April 4 this year. She was ordered to pay a financial penalty of £344 and had three points placed on her licence when she was sentenced at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 5.
The 53-year-old, of Robin Square, was convicted in her absence. The defendant was driving a Ford Transit at the time, and was caught by laser travelling at 38 miles per hour.
She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a £34 surcharge, with three points added to her licence.
